Set in a 450 acre park, Telford Town Park cleverly incorporates 11 different features to deliver a design that encourages collaborative play for children of all ages and abilities. This 230m² splash park features a floral theme which is mirrored both on the play surface and amongst the vibrant features. Leggy colourful flowers mingle with smaller spouts and sprayers, and include a unique Maestro sound spray which blasts noises at the lightest touch.
Our client was delighted with the results which used interchangeable features to enable them to be swapped around the park to keep the design looking fresh, intriguing and appealing.

“Richard Harrison was commissioned in mid June 2013 to complete the installation of a water play area at Telford Town Park after the company that was originally awarded the contract withdrew from the project.
“Richard Harrison came into a partially started project with enthusiasm and commitment to deliver an innovative play area and recycled system for an August deadline. Richard’s team worked tirelessly and safely in the middle of an open and extremely busy park to complete the facility which opened on the 7th August 2013.
“The operation and reliability of the recycled system was critical as we were opening at one of the parks peak times. On site park staff training was comprehensive with regular unscheduled site visits by Richard Harrison to simply support the park team. The commitment shown by the managing director was mirrored by Richard Harrison’s team with post installation support being second to none.
“We specifically wanted ‘Waterplay’ equipment after our earlier tender evaluation and Richard Harrison developed a business link with this international company to achieve this. Whilst robust the equipment is interchangeable, provides hours of interactive safe play for all ages and abilities and has been extremely popular with our visitors. To further guarantee the longevity of the facility we have a 25 year warranty on the equipment and a maintenance programme in place with WSL.
